Lars Nielsen has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of United Colors of Benetton India. He will be reporting to Ramprasad Sridharan, the Managing Director and CEO of Benetton India. Nielsen will be based out of the company’s head office in Gurgaon.
As the CFO, Nielsen will be responsible for overseeing the business and corporate finance vertical of Benetton India. His portfolio will include financial operations, financial planning and analysis, as well as strategic finance and business partnerships.
Nielsen brings with him more than 19 years of experience in financial management, accounting, and strategic planning. In his previous role as the Finance Director (APAC) at KK Wind Solutions, based in Bangalore, he played a crucial role in strategic planning and execution, ensuring stable earnings for the company amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Ramprasad Sridharan, the CEO of United Colors of Benetton India, expressed his confidence in Nielsen’s abilities and stated that his experience and expertise in strategic finance will be instrumental in driving the company’s future growth. Sridharan also emphasized the importance of innovation and revolutionizing their business.
Nielsen, in response to his appointment, acknowledged that the fashion industry is new to him. However, he sees it as an advantage to bring an outsider’s perspective to Benetton India’s growth trajectory. He expressed his enthusiasm for the journey ahead and his commitment to enabling and accelerating Benetton India’s ambitions in the Indian market.
