Alibaug has been experiencing an increase in vacation homes and weekend getaways, making it a popular tourist destination due to its scenic beauty and proximity to Mumbai. However, limited connectivity has been a challenge for the tourism business in the area. To address this issue, several development and infrastructure projects are underway in Alibaug.
These infrastructure projects are expected to provide a wide range of potential for real estate development in Alibaug, according to a recent poll by HoABL (name not recognized). Investors have an opportunity to benefit from property appreciation and rental income. Recognizing the untapped potential and growing demand for real estate in the region, the government has initiated various infrastructure initiatives to improve connectivity in Alibaug.
The implementation of these infrastructure projects is expected to significantly reduce travel time from the current over three hours to just over an hour. This improvement in connectivity is anticipated to create numerous opportunities, as indicated by a recent survey conducted by HoABL.
Some of the notable projects include the Virar-Alibaug Corridor project, Mumbai Trans Harbour link, and Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor. It is important to note the significance of the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL) as part of the Virar-Alibaug Corridor Project. The MTHL is a 21.8 km, 6-lane access-controlled sea bridge that will connect Sewri in Mumbai with Chirle in Navi Mumbai. This link will substantially reduce travel time between these areas, benefiting both commuters and tourists.
Overall, the development and infrastructure projects in Alibaug aim to enhance connectivity, boost tourism, and create opportunities for real estate development in the region.
